Zusammenfassung

Kognitive Störungen im Rahmen von Erkrankungen aus dem schizophrenen Formenkreis stehen seit einiger Zeit wieder im Fokus. Verschiedene Untersuchungen belegen deren Ausmaß und Bedeutsamkeit für den Krankheitsverlauf von Betroffenen. Obwohl kognitive Einschränkungen bei Schizophrenie im Vergleich zu anderen Krankheitsbildern gut untersucht sind, ist bisher uneindeutig, welche Bereiche am stärksten eingeschränkt sind. Eindeutig ist jedoch, dass die Bereiche Aufmerksamkeit, Gedächtnis und Exekutivfunktionen betroffen sind. Dabei gehören Einschränkungen in den Exekutivfunktionen, welche mit Veränderungen in präfrontalen Netzwerken einhergehen, zu den häufigsten Beeinträchtigungen. In der Gruppe der Aufmerksamkeitsstörungen zeigen sich vor allem Defizite in der Daueraufmerksamkeit, welche auch als Vulnerabilitätsmarker diskutiert werden, sowie in der selektiven Aufmerksamkeit. In Bezug auf das Lernen/Gedächtnis zeigen sich Defizite vor allem im deklarativen Gedächtnis. Mit den kognitiven Einschränkungen assoziiert sind Defizite in der sogenannten sozialen Kognition, welche deshalb zunehmend diskutiert werden.
