Zusammenfassung
Die operative Therapie des Rektumkarzinoms erfordert eine detaillierte Kenntnis der Anatomie des Anorektums und seiner umgebenden Strukturen. Die hochauflösende dünnschichtige MRT des Rektums gilt heute aufgrund ihrer exzellenten Weichteildarstellung als bildgebende Modalität der Wahl zur Beurteilung des Anorektums. In diesem Kapitel werden MRT-basiert Schritt für Schritt die wichtigsten anatomischen Grundlagen zur modernen Chirurgie des Rektumkarzinoms vermittelt.
