Zusammenfassung
Der chronische Kreuzschmerz stellt große Anforderungen an den behandelnden Arzt, sodass viele minimalinvasive dekomprimierende Techniken entwickelt wurden, u. a. auch die Technik der Nukleoplastie. Diese Methode beruht auf der Volumenreduktion der Bandscheibe per plasmatischem Strom. Sie stellt bei guter Indikationsstellung eine Möglichkeit dar, die Lücke zwischen Bandscheibenoperationen und konservativen Therapien zu schließen. In mehreren Studien ergeben sich Nachweise der positiven Wirkung der Nukleoplastie im Sinne einer Schmerzreduktion und einer besseren Mobilität für mindestens 12 Monate.
