Zusammenfassung
Die Therapie von Tumoren mit ionisierender Strahlung verfügt heute über eine hohe Zahl an Freiheitsgraden und ist daher hochpräzise, schnell und ausschließlich lokal wirksam. Bislang wurde in der Strahlentherapie eine hohe, homogene Dosis im Tumorbereich bei gleichzeitiger Schonung von gesundem Gewebe angestrebt. Jedoch zeigen aktuelle wissenschaftliche Arbeiten, dass die Gewebearchitektur eines Tumors chaotisch ist. Daher können starke lokale Änderungen der Strahlensensitivität auftreten. Biologische Eigenschaften von Tumoren können heute mit funktioneller Bildgebung wie Positronen-Emissions-Tomografie oder Magentresonanztomografie untersucht werden. Das Ziel unserer Forschungsarbeiten ist die Integration dieser biologischen Information zur lokalen Strahlensensitivität in eine indiviuell angepasste Dosisverschreibung für die Strahlentherapie.
