Zusammenfassung

Das erste Kapitel beinhaltet eine grundlegende Motivation und Einführung in das Thema Industrie 4.0 bzw. IoT und ordnet diese Begriffe in den wirtschaftlichen und technischen Zusammenhang ein. Dabei wird vermittelt, was sich unter diesen Schlagwörtern verbirgt und was wichtige Aspekte sind. Dabei wird insbesondere auf die revolutionäre Entwicklung der Automatisierungstechnik eingegangen, die durch die zunehmende Vernetzung und Integration von leistungsfähiger Software und künstlicher Intelligenz in die Systeme getrieben wird und so völlig neue Möglichkeiten und Geschäftsmodelle ermöglicht.
