Zusammenfassung
Das sechste Kapitel wechselt die Perspektive von der normativen auf die deskriptive Entscheidungstheorie: Es geht nicht mehr (allein) um die Frage, wie ein Entscheider bei Risiko rational entscheiden sollte, sondern wie reale Entscheider solche Entscheidungen treffen. Dazu werden zunächst experimentelle Befunde zusammengetragen, die systematische Verstöße gegen die Axiome des Bernoulli-Prinzips aufzeigen. Aufbauend darauf wird mit der Prospect Theorie nach Kahneman und Tversky die wichtigste deskriptive Entscheidungstheorie bei Risiko dargestellt, deren Ziel es ist, systematisch Abweichungen vom Bernoulli-Prinzip zu erklären. Kernbestandteile der Prospect Theorie sind die Phase der Bearbeitung von Alternativen vor deren Bewertung sowie die Wertfunktion und die Wahrscheinlichkeitsgewichtungsfunktion, die der Bewertung der Alternativen zugrunde liegen.
Neben der ursprünglichen Prospect Theorie wird auch ihre Erweiterung, die kumulative Prospect Theorie, dargestellt. Das Kapitel schließt mit einer vergleichenden Diskussion der Erklärungsgehalte der Erwartungsnutzen- und Prospect Theorie.
