Zusammenfassung

Bei einem Thoracic-Outlet-Syndrom (TOS) können 3 unterschiedliche Strukturen betroffen sein: der Plexus brachialis (neurogenes TOS, NTOS), die V. subclavia (venöses TOS, VTOS) oder am seltensten die A. subclavia (arterielles TOS, ATOS). Die Therapie richtet sich nach dieser Lokalisation, ist aber äußerst umstritten, was an einem Mangel an Daten liegt. Dieser Mangel wiederum ist auf die bis dato inkonsistente Definition des Krankheitsbildes und seiner Diagnostik zurückzuführen. Die neuen Standards der Society for Vascular Surgery zur Berichterstattung sollen hier Klarheit schaffen, um in Zukunft die Ergebnisse besser vergleichbar zu machen.
