Zusammenfassung
Die Wahl des Wirtsorganismus ist entscheidend für die Enzymproduktion. Nach einem Überblick über limitierende Faktoren in der Proteinbiosynthese, welche die biotechnologische Produktion von Enzymen beeinflussen, werden die Vor- und Nachteile der (Mikro-)Organismen beschrieben, die häufig für die Enzymproduktion eingesetzt werden. Anschließend wird erklärt, wie man einen Organismus dazu bringt, ein ihm „unbekanntes“ Protein oder Enzym zu produzieren, und schließlich werden Probleme bei der biotechnologischen Enzymproduktion sowie deren Lösungen und Optimierungsmöglichkeiten kurz aufgeführt.
