Essverhalten vor und nach Adipositaschirurgie

Zusammenfassung

Pathologisches Essverhalten ist bei Patienten mit schwerer Adipositas vor Adipositaschirurgie häufig. Dazu zählen Diagnosen wie die Binge-Eating-Störung und das Night-Eating-Syndrom und deren subsyndromale Formen, aber auch andere Formen nichtnormativen Essverhaltens wie „grazing“ oder „sweet eating“. Pathologisches Essverhalten nimmt kurzfristig nach der bariatrischen Operation ab, scheint aber im zeitlichen Verlauf wieder zuzunehmen. Auch neue Essverhaltensprobleme können auftreten, wie induziertes Erbrechen, das Kauen-und-Ausspucken und „loss of control eating (LOC)“. Das postoperative Auftreten von „binge eating“, „loss of control eating“ und „grazing“ ist mit einer geringeren Gewichtsabnahme bzw. einer stärkeren Gewichtswiederzunahme nach Erreichen eines Gewichtsplateaus sowie mit mehr Psychopathologie und geringerer Lebensqualität assoziiert.
