Zusammenfassung
Der Erfolg der chirurgischen Intervention ist von der Adhärenz der Patienten abhängig. Nach der Operation ist von den Betroffenen gefordert, sich an die neuen Lebensumstände anzupassen. Neben der Veränderung des Essverhaltens stellen auch andere Umstellungen im psychosozialen Bereich Herausforderungen dar. Besonders zu nennen sind die Etablierung eines aktiven Lebensstils sowie der Umgang mit der Veränderung des Körperbilds/Körpers. Patienten sollten die chirurgischen Verlaufsuntersuchungen regelmäßig wahrnehmen, damit somatische Komplikationen rechtzeitig entdeckt und behandelt werden können.
