Zusammenfassung

Die Jetventilation ist eine etablierte Beatmungstechnik für laryngeale und tracheale Operationen, die mit Situationen eines schwierigen Atemwegs einhergehen können. Die verschiedenen Methoden der Jetventilation als Möglichkeiten zur Atemwegsicherung unter gleichzeitiger Gewährleistung des operativen Vorgehens werden in diesem Kapitel mit zahlreichen Abbildungen und Beschreibungen umfassend dargestellt. Anwendungsmöglichkeiten der Jetventilation bei obstruktiven supraglottischen, glottischen oder subglottischen Veränderungen, infraglottische Jetventilationstechniken, supraglottische Jetventilation, transorale und transnasale Jetventilation, Verfahren mit Jetkathetern, deren Indikationen, Kontraindikationen, Vor- und Nachteile und die beatmungstechnischen Anforderungen sowie notwendige Einstellungen am Jetventilator werden umfassend beschrieben. Hinweise zu Komplikationen und Maßnahmen zu deren Vermeidung werden aus interdisziplinärer Sicht gegeben.
