Zusammenfassung
Alter ist zunächst einmal ganz wertfrei eine chronologische Angabe. Nicht selten werden Personen oder Gegenstände bereits bei ihrer Nennung, z. B. durch Angabe ihres Entstehungsjahrgangs mit einer Altersangabe konnotiert. Auch dies mag zunächst neutral erscheinen, erhält jedoch relativ rasch durch begleitende Attribute einen wertenden Charakter. Dies kann sowohl eine negative Charakterisierung, z. B. veraltet bedeuten, aber auch durchaus positive Konnotationen durch Begriffe wie gereift oder klassisch enthalten.
