Zusammenfassung
Bergsteigen und Höhenaufenthalt gehen auch für Patienten mit Vorerkrankungen. Bevor es losgeht, müssen die zu erwartenden Umgebungsbedingungen geklärt und dann überlegt werden, wie diese auf die Grunderkrankung einwirken. Gerade bei Patienten mit Asthma bronchiale, Diabetes, stabiler koronarer Herzerkrankung oder stabiler Epilepsie steht einer erfolgreichen Bergbesteigung auch höchster Gipfel nichts entgegen. Anders bei Patienten mit COPD, Lungenfibrosen oder akuten kardialen Erkrankungen: Hier muss genau geprüft werden, auf was sich der Patient einlässt und ob sich ggf. die Grunderkrankung durch die äußeren Einflüsse (Hypoxie, Kälte, Anstrengung) verschlechtert.
