Zusammenfassung
In diesem Kapitel geht es um die verschiedenen Facetten des Fastens. Dabei werden sowohl religiöse, therapeutische als auch moderne Formen des Fastens thematisiert. Weiterführend werden verschiedene psychologische Theorien und Konzepte auf den Kontext des Fastens übertragen und psychologische Motive und Mechanismen identifiziert, welche dem Fasten zugrunde liegen könnten.
