Zusammenfassung
In diesem Kapitel geht es um die Signalwege, ohne die in der Zelle praktisch nichts läuft. Schaut man sich die zahlreichen Übersichtsbilder zu diesem Thema an, dann erinnert einen die Vielzahl der beteiligten Faktoren und Stellgrößen an einen wahrhaft undurchdringlichen Dschungel. Bei so manchem Experimentator der Zellbiologie sorgt dieser Anblick nicht nur für ehrfürchtiges Stirnrunzeln, sondern schlimmstenfalls sogar für akute Schnappatmung. In der Tat beschäftigen sich ganze Forschungszweige mit dieser Materie und fördern täglich neue Erkenntnisse zutage, die die Flut der Informationen noch vergrößern. Ziel dieses Kapitels ist es deshalb nicht, dem Leser die Signalwege bis ins letzte Detail aufzudröseln, sondern vielmehr zu veranschaulichen, in welchem Gesamtzusammenhang die einzelnen Signalwege stehen.
