Zusammenfassung
Wachstum ist ein wesentlicher Treiber für den Unternehmenswert. In diesem Zusammenhang beleuchtet das Kapitel relevante Ansatzpunkte, die Absatz und Umsatz erheblich steigern können ohne die Gewinnspanne negativ zu beeinflussen. Im Fokus stehen dabei ein systematisches Kundenverständnis, leistungsgerechte Preise, die Einführung neuer Produkte, kundenorientiertes Verkaufen und die schnelle Abwicklung von Aufträgen. Der Abschnitt über das systematische Kundenverständnis beschäftigt sich insbesondere mit der Frage, wie gut Unternehmen ihre Kunden wirklich kennen müssen, um erfolgreich zu sein. Gleichzeitig beinhaltet er Lösungsvorschläge, welche Analysen erforderlich sind, um die definierte Zielsetzung auch zu erreichen. Der Folgeabschnitt handelt von intelligenter Preissetzung. Er beschreibt, an welchen Stellen Unternehmen häufig Umsatzpotenziale und Marge verschenken und wie optimale Preise ermittelt werden können. Neben diesen Themen spielt auch das Produktportfolio eines Unternehmens eine entscheidende Rolle für das Wachstum. Daher behandelt das Kapitel in der Folge auch die Fragestellung, wie neue Produkte schneller an den Markt gebracht werden können und wie das Management hier positiv unterstützen kann. Der nächste Abschnitt wechselt wieder die Perspektive von der Innensicht zur Außensicht. Im Mittelpunkt steht hier das kundenorientierte Verkaufen. Grundidee ist eine intelligente Verteilung von Vertriebsaktivitäten auf unterschiedliche Kundengruppen und die Reduzierung der Abhängigkeit von einzelnen Spitzenverkäufern. Das Kapitel schließt mit einigen Erläuterungen zum Prozess der Auftragsabwicklung. Da kurze Lieferzeiten zunehmend an Bedeutung gewinnen und den entscheidenden Wettbewerbsvorsprung bedeuten können, widmet sich der letzte Abschnitt der Herausforderung, Kundenaufträge rasch und fehlerfrei durch die Unternehmensprozesse zu steuern.
