Zusammenfassung
Personalentwicklung umfasst alle geplanten Maßnahmen zur Aufrechterhaltung und Erweiterung der individuellen beruflichen Handlungskompetenz. Durch diese Maßnahmen soll der Unternehmenserfolg gesichert und die Leistungsfähigkeit, Flexibilität und Motivation der Mitarbeitenden gesteigert werden. Kompetenzentwicklungsmaßnahmen können an der Fach-, Methoden-, Sozial- oder Selbstkompetenz der Mitarbeitenden ansetzen. Viele Unternehmen beginnen an Kompetenzmodellen anknüpfend die Kompetenzen ihrer Mitarbeitenden zu managen. Systematische Schritte zur Planung und Durchführung von Kompetenzentwicklungsmaßnahmen werden ebenso dargestellt wie Ansätze zum Transfer und zur ergebnis- und prozessbezogenen Evaluation. Stärken und Schwächen der Personalentwicklung werden aufgezeigt.
