In diesem Kapitel wird die Entwicklung der Präsentismusforschung dargestellt. Es wird auf Unterschiede im Verständnis des Begriffs Präsentismus sowie auf die wesentlichen Forschungsstränge eingegangen. Außerdem werden Inhalt und Struktur des Buches skizziert.
