Zusammenfassung
Die schnellen, beispielsweise technologischen Veränderungen und zunehmende Globalisierung in der heutigen Arbeitswelt haben nicht nur Auswirkungen auf die Unternehmen, sondern ziehen auch direkte Konsequenzen für alle Personen auf dem Arbeitsmarkt nach sich. Insbesondere die Unsicherheit in Bezug auf Beschäftigungsverhältnisse, die Zunahme von Wissensarbeit sowie demografische Veränderungen haben berufliche Karrieren in den letzten Jahren stark verändert und weniger planbar gemacht (Greenhaus et al. 2010).
