Superomedial Pedicle Vertical Breast Reduction

Abstract

The “vertical” type of breast reduction was a term that was initially used for any short scar technique that included a scar both around the areola as well as a vertically but avoided the often unsightly and long inframammary scar. Concepts and principles have advanced now (see Chap. 2), and we realize that it is far more than just about a shorter scar.
