Zusammenfassung
In diesem Kapitel wird die Amputation im Bereich des distalen Unterschenkels und Fußes dargestellt. Als eines der ältesten Verfahren der Chirurgie ist dieser Eingriff auch heute noch von großer Bedeutung und obwohl für den Patienten belastend, oft in der entsprechenden Situation unumgänglich. Der Darstellung der verschiedenen Indikationen folgen allgemeine Aspekte zur Diagnostik und chirurgischen Technik. Die Wahl des operativen Verfahrens hängt entscheidend von der jeweiligen Grunderkrankung ab. Von den partiellen Amputationen des Vorfußes bis hin zur distalen Unterschenkelamputation werden alle gängigen Verfahren detailliert dargestellt.
