In diesem Kapitel werden aus Modulen des fachlichen Informationsmodells Implementierungspakete gebildet, die jeweils einen Anwendungsfall zur Verwendung des fachlichen Informationsmodells darstellen. Dies ermöglicht eine schrittweise anwendungsfallspezifische Implementierung in ein PLM-System. Zugleich dienen die Implementierungspakete als Standard zum Austausch von Informationen über die Unternehmensgrenzen hinaus.
