Zusammenfassung
Der Ersatz der Gelenkflächen von Humeruskopf und Glenoid ist bei den verschiedenen arthrotischen Deformitäten des Schultergelenkes die einzige Möglichkeit, wieder eine schmerzfreie Funktion herzustellen. Ziel einer anatomischen Totalendoprothese ist die Rekonstruktion der äußeren Form, aber vor allem auch der Kinematik des Glenohumeralgelenkes, d. h. der Kontaktflächen, des Rotationszentrums und der motorischen Hebelfunktionen, unter Erhalt der Rotatorenmanschette. Grundsätzlich bestehen Totalendoprothesen der Schulter in einer zementierten oder zementfreien Schaftkomponente aus Titan oder Prothesenstahl, einer Humeruskopfkalotte aus Prothesenstahl oder Keramik und einer zementierten oder zementfrei fixierten Glenoidkomponente aus Polyäthylen. Die meisten Langzeiterfahrungen bestehen mit Schaftprothesen in Kombination mit zementierten Glenoidkomponenten.
