Zusammenfassung

In der vergangenen Dekade kam es zu einer deutlichen Verbesserung der technologischen Optionen in der non-invasiven Behandlung der metastatischen Läsionen der Wirbelsäule. Die Optimierung der stereotaktischen Radiochirurgie als technologisches Prinzip und als ein neues Konzept hat ihren Stellenwert in dem konkreten Kontext gefunden. Für den Fall, dass man die in diesem Kapitel vorgestellte und interpretierte wissenschaftliche Evidenz ernst nimmt, dann ist die Wirksamkeit und die Sicherheit der Methode gut dokumentiert und kontextualisiert. Die bildgeführte stereotaktische Radiochirurgie kann man sich in einem kohärenten, rationalen und empirisch reproduzierbaren onkologischen Konzept betrachten, nämlich im Konzept der Krebs mit Oligometastasen, das Im Jahr 1995 von Samuel Hellmann thematisiert und anschließend in den vergangen fünf Jahren extensiv diskutiert wurden ist. In diesem Kontext kann die Technologie der stereotaktischen Radiochirurgie zur Versorgung metastatischer Wirbelsäulenläsionen dienen.
