Zusammenfassung

Wissen um die körperliche Erkrankung und deren Behandlung sowie über die Prozesse der bewussten und unbewussten Krankheitsverarbeitung ist unumgänglich für Psychotherapeuten, die körperlich Kranke behandeln. Daneben sollten sich diese Therapeuten mit existenziellen Fragen von Leben und Sterben auseinandersetzen und diese Fragen in der Supervision oder Intervision des therapeutischen Prozesses reflektieren. Dies unterstützt auch dabei, einem eigenen Burnout vorzubeugen.
