Zusammenfassung

Bleibende neurologische Ausfälle, kognitive Defizite und intraoperative Wachheitserlebnisse zählen zu den gefürchtetsten perioperativen Komplikationen. Ein zentralnervöses Monitoring kann zur Vermeidung dieser Komplikationen beitragen, wenn es wesentliche Ursachen und Pathomechanismen in einem frühen, reversiblen Stadium erkennt, eine gezielte Therapie ermöglicht und deren Effektivität unmittelbar anzeigt.
