Zusammenfassung
Mit den Vorsokratikern beginnt die abendländische Philosophie. Allerdings hat die „griechische“ Philosophie ihren Ursprung keineswegs in Athen. Ihr Ursprung liegt in den griechischen Kolonien an der kleinasiatischen Westküste, dem Rand des Orients in der heutigen Türkei, und in den damals griechisch besiedelten Gebieten Süditaliens und Siziliens.
