Zusammenfassung

Mit der stetig wachsenden Zahl systemischer Therapieoptionen steigt auch die Herausforderung, die Arzneimittel korrekt und sicher zu verabreichen. Die Patienten leben heute länger, erhalten komplexere Therapieschemata, intravenös, oral oder in Kombination. Die Informationen für eine sichere und korrekte Verabreichung werden unter ethischen und rechtlichen Aspekten sowie bei Festlegung klinischer Standards zu einem wichtigen Thema. Die Erwartungen der Patienten an eine korrekte Verabreichung sind hoch. Die Grundlagen der Verabreichung von Medikamenten sind für die tägliche Praxis gleichermaßen wichtige Instrumente, ob diese nun von neu in die Onkologie Eingestiegenen oder von erfahrenen Pflegenden angewandt werden.
