Zusammenfassung

Neuropsychologische Störungen gehen häufig bei der Untersuchung der Schlaganfallpatienten in der Akutphase etwas unter. Tatsächlich können diese subtil erscheinenden Veränderungen für die Zukunft des Patienten weitreichende Folgen haben. Sie können den Rehabilitationsprozess beeinträchtigen, die berufliche Wiedereingliederung verhindern, die Selbstständigkeit des Patienten beschränken und damit zu einer erheblichen Belastung für Patienten und deren Angehörigen werden. Drei neuropsychologische Störungen, die nach Schlaganfall recht häufig auftreten und das Leben der betroffenen Patienten und ihrer Angehörigen beeinträchtigen können, werden in diesem Kapitel vorgestellt: die amnestische Störung, bei welcher der Patient neue Information nicht oder nur erschwert aufnehmen kann, der Neglect, eine Störung, die dazu führt, dass Patienten Informationen von ihrer linken Seite nicht mehr wahrnehmen, und die Anosognosie, eine mangelnde Einsicht in die eigene Erkrankung und deren Konsequenz.
