Zusammenfassung
Milzverletzungen können aus einer Vielzahl von stumpfen oder penetrierenden Traumata des Abdomens oder unteren Thorax resultieren. Mit bis zu 45 % stellt die Milz das am häufigsten betroffene intraabdominelle Organ bei stumpfen Abdominaltraumata dar. Die Hauptursachen sind Pkw-assoziierte Verkehrsunfälle, aber auch Stürze aus größerer Höhe oder Fahrradstürze spielen eine relevante Rolle.
