Zusammenfassung

Retroperitoneale Abszesse und Psoasabszesse sind seltene Entitäten und können insbesondere bei älteren Patienten und bei Komorbiditäten potenziell lebensbedrohlich sein (Mallia et al. 2015). In über 80 % der Fälle entstehen sie auf dem Boden renaler und gastrointestinaler Prozesse sowie entzündlich vertebragener Erkrankungen, posttraumatisch und durch hämatogene septische Streuungen.
