Ösophagus und Mediastinum

Zusammenfassung

Die Ösophagusperforation ist gekennzeichnet durch eine transmurale Ruptur der Ösophaguswand mit konsekutiver Kontamination der thorakalen sowie auch abdominellen Höhle durch gastrointestinales Sekret, was eine lokale und systemische Entzündung induziert. Dabei stellt die iatrogene Ösophagusperforation (vor allem bedingt durch endoskopische Maßnahmen) weiterhin die häufigste Art dieser Verletzung dar, gefolgt von der spontanen (dem Boerhaave-Syndrom) und traumatischen (vor allem bedingt durch ingestierte Fremdkörper) Ösophagusperforation (Abb. 15.1, Abb. 15.2).
