Zusammenfassung

Zunächst werden die Grundannahmen der Bindungstheorie unter Berücksichtigung ihrer biologischen und ethologischen Basis, die entwicklungspsychologischen Grundlagen des Erwerbs von Bindungsmustern und die affektregulative Dimension von Bindung bis hin zur repräsentationalen Ebene der Mentalisierung beschrieben. Anschließend werden die Merkmale organisierter und desorganisierter Bindungsmuster ausführlich und differenziert dargestellt. Dabei finden auch neurobiologische Aspekte und deren Auswirkungen von der frühen Kindheit bis ins Erwachsenenalter Beachtung. Schließlich werden Möglichkeiten therapeutischer Intervention in Abhängigkeit vom jeweiligen Bindungsmuster erläutert und die Grundprinzipien einer bindungstheoretisch informierten Psychotherapie veranschaulicht.
