Zusammenfassung
Es werden sehr effektive kognitiv-behaviorale Methoden der Imagination und der Hypnose sowie ihre Indikationen und Grenzen vorgestellt, durch Fallbeschreibungen veranschaulicht und in ihren neuropsychologischen Wirkungen zur Erreichung von Therapiezielen erklärt. Dies sind u. a. Methoden zum Erreichen von psychotherapeutischen Grundzielen wie Selbstwirksamkeit und Selbstkontrolle. Zur Therapie psychophysiologischer Erkrankungen wie z. B. Colon irritabile oder allergische Rhinitis werden exemplarisch gezielte Imaginationen bzw. Suggestionen genannt. Zum Erkennen und Lösen von Problemen werden spezielle Methoden aufgezeigt, bislang verborgenen hemmenden oder unterstützenden Gefühle wahrzunehmen oder die Wertigkeit und Verbindlichkeit bisheriger oder zukünftiger Ziele und deren Blockaden zu erkennen. Die Methoden werden für Therapieziele genutzt, u. a. zur Aktivierung von Handlungen wie z. B. Lern- und Arbeitsbeginn, zur Entscheidungsfindung oder zum Aufbau von Selbstsicherheit und Selbstvertrauen.
