Zusammenfassung
OPC Unified Architecture (OPC UA) ist ein Interoperabilitäts-Standard, der für einen durch Authentifizierung und Verschlüsselung sicheren, zuverlässigen, plattform-, sprach- und herstellerunabhängigen Informationsaustausch steht. Der Informationsaustausch beinhaltet Prozessdaten, Alarm- und Ereignissignale, historische Daten und Kommandos.
OPC UA skaliert vom kleinsten Sensor (Umfang 10 kb) bis in die IT-Enterprise-Welt wie z. B. SAP und die Microsoft Azure Cloud. Als Norm IEC65421 ist OPC UA aktuell die einzige IEC-standardisierte SOA-Technologie auf der deutschen DKE -Normungsliste für die Umsetzung von Industrie 4.0.
OPC UA ist gelistet in der „Reference Architectural Model Industrie 4.0 (RAMI4.0) “. Das BSI untersucht aufgrund der Relevanz für die deutsche Industrie die Sicherheit von OPC UA.
