Zusammenfassung

At the heart of social technologies is the promise to finally tear down all the boundaries standing in the way of connecting and communicating within and across organizations. Reflecting the DNA of social technologies where information flows freely, following a random path, organizations will evolve towards boundaryless structures, sharing, co-creating and innovating across teams, functions, countries. To harness this potential, a new leadership type is required. One that will be driven by speed, focusing on orchestrating and caring for the community, integrative, authentic and flexible to switch between leader and follower as required. In essence an effective leader will learn the intrinsic capabilities of Social Technologies to harness their promise: design and activate a truly boundaryless organization.
