Zusammenfassung
Sowohl angeborene oder erworbene Funktionsstörungen als auch Strukturveränderungen des kindlichen und jugendlichen Hüftgelenkes können zur ärztlichen Konsultation führen. Gerade die teilweise veränderte Klinik im Vergleich zum Erwachsenen sowie das noch unreife Skelett erfordern eine enge Kommunikation zwischen behandelndem Orthopäden und Radiologen, um Fehldiagnosen zu verhindern. Hierbei steht häufig eine Vermeidung von Fehlstellungen, Funktionsstörungen oder frühzeitigen degenerativen Veränderungen im Mittelpunkt der Therapie. Neben den vergleichsweise häufigen Krankheitsbildern, wie die angeborene oder neurogene Hüftdysplasie, der Morbus Perthes, die Epiphysiolysis capitis femoris oder Coxitiden sind auch Kenntnisse über seltenere Erkrankungen (epiphysäre Dysplasien, longitudinale Fehlbildungen oder das transiente Knochenmarködem) wichtig.
