Zusammenfassung
Durch Fortschritte auf den Gebieten der computergestützten Simulation und der Computergrafik werden beständig weitere Anwendungsmöglichkeiten für digitale Menschmodelle etwa für Trainings- und Ausbildungszwecke, zur Produkt- und Prozessoptimierung oder in der Unterhaltungsbranche erschlossen. Dabei kamen bisher hauptsächlich standardisierte, d. h. nach anthropometrischen Normwerten gestaltete Menschmodelle zum Einsatz. Es wird jedoch erwartet, dass durch die Verwendung individueller Modelle, die nach dem Vorbild spezieller Menschen gestaltet werden, viele der genannten Anwendungen auf ein neues Qualitätsniveau gehoben werden können. Dieser Artikel beschreibt die wesentlichen Schritte und die dabei eingesetzten Methoden zur Verarbeitung der Daten, die durch Digitalisierung realer Menschen gewonnen werden. Die schrittweise Generierung eines individuellen Menschmodells wird beispielhaft am interaktiven Modell „Eva“, welches an der TU Chemnitz zu Forschungszwecken eingesetzt wird, dargelegt.
