Zusammenfassung

Dieses Kapitel widmet sich dem Sprichwort „Vertrauen ist gut, Kontrolle ist besser“ und versucht anhand psychologischer Erkenntnisse die Frage zu beantworten, ob diese Aussage zutreffend ist. Dabei wird besonders auf die Anwendung und Bedeutung des Sprichworts im Arbeitskontext eingegangen. Anhand von Theorien der Sozial- und Organisationspsychologie werden unterschiedliche Bedeutungen der Kontrolle und ihre Funktion erklärt. Relevante Studienergebnisse legen den Einfluss von Kontrolle im Arbeitskontext dar. Basierend darauf werden Implikationen für die Forschung und Praxis abgeleitet.
