Zusammenfassung
Corticosteroide werden überwiegend als Glucocorticoide zur Entzündungshemmung und Immunsuppression eingesetzt, während die Hormonsubstitution mit dem Nebennierenrindenhormon Cortisol und dem Mineralocorticoid Fludrocortison nur einen kleinen Teil der Verordnungen (3%) betrifft. Bei den Glucocorticoiden hat die Verordnung von Prednisolon aufgrund seiner pharmakokinetischen und preislichen Vorteile 2015 weiter zugenommen, während Prednison und Methylprednisolon erneut weniger verordnet wurden.
