Zusammenfassung
In diesem Kapitel widmen wir uns der numerischen Lösung der Black-Scholes-Gleichung. Entsprechend sei das Szenario vorausgesetzt, das durch die Annahmen 1.2 charakterisiert ist. Insbesondere genügt der Preis S des Underlyings als stochastischer Prozess einer geometrischen Brownschen Bewegung. Dann löst im Fall einer standard-europäischen Option deren Wertfunktion V(S, t) die Black-Scholes-Gleichung (1.5). Die Lösung dieser speziellen partiellen Differenzialgleichung ist nicht unser eigentliches Ziel, da es für sie die analytische Lösungsformel (1.10) gibt. Vielmehr sollen amerikanische Optionen berechnet werden, eventuell auch mit anderen Payoffs. Insoweit müssen die Annahmen 1.2 abgeschwächt werden. Es geht in diesem Kapitel nicht um die Berechnung einzelner Werte V(S 0, 0) – hierfür haben wir Baumverfahren –, sondern um die Berechnung von Flächen V(S, t) für den Halbstreifen S > 0, 0 ≤ t ≤ T. Aus diesen Flächen der Wertfunktion lassen sich auch wichtige Griechen berechnen.
