Abstract
Section 2.1 describes the drift motion of guiding center of cyclotron motion, polarization drift which is important to study the zonal flow in Sect. 13.5. Section 2.3 treats the drift motion in mirror configuration and Sect. 2.4 treats the drift motion in toroidal configuration, the effect of longitudinal electric field on banana orbit (Ware’s pinch) and the precession of banana orbit center which is important topics for fishbone instability in Sect. 2.1. Coulomb collision and the heating rates of ions and electrons by high energy neutral beam injection are described in Sect. 2.5.
