Zusammenfassung

Erkrankungen des männlichen Genitales umfassen Dermatosen und Neoplasien der Haut und pathologische Veränderungen tieferer anatomischer Strukturen, wie der Tunica albuginea der Corpora cavernosa bei Induratio penis plastica oder angeborene Anomalien wie Hypospadie oder Epispadie. Auch Urethritiden fallen unter diese Krankheitsgruppe, werden aber an anderer Stelle ausführlich dargestellt. Hautveränderungen an Glans penis, Vorhaut oder Skrotum können entzündlich, infektiös und damit sexuell übertragbar, sowie benigne oder maligne sein und teilweise ohne klinische Relevanz (zum Beispiel Papillae coronae glandis) sein. Es kann sich zudem um die genitale Manifestation generalisierter Dermatosen (zum Beispiel bei Psoriasis vulgaris und Lichen ruber planus) oder spezifisch meist nur im Genitalbereich auftretende Hautveränderungen (zum Beispiel Balanitis chronica circumscripta benigna plasmacellularis) handeln. Durch die demografische Entwicklung mit zunehmendem Anteil älterer Menschen wird dem Auftreten von penilen Hauterkrankungen in dieser Altersgruppe eine besondere Bedeutung zukommen. Veränderungen des Genitale können die Sexualität betroffener Patienten erheblich beeinträchtigen. Dieser Aspekt sollte daher im Rahmen der dermatologischen Abklärung und Behandlung angesprochen werden.
