Zusammenfassung
Trotz der einfachen visuellen Zugänglichkeit des Hautorgans ermöglichen nichtinvasive, diagnostische Verfahren in der Dermatologie zusätzlich, strukturelle und funktionelle Veränderungen der Haut in vivo genauer zu erfassen. Neben der Diagnostik können diese Methoden zur Untersuchung dynamischer Prozesse, zur Quantifizierung und zur Verlaufsbeobachtung eingesetzt werden. Zu den Methoden der morphologischen Darstellung gehören neben der Sonografie, die in Kap. Sonografie von Haut und Lymphknoten abgehandelt wird, die konfokale Lasermikroskopie, die optische Kohärenztomografie, die Multiphotonentomografie und die Profilometrie. Parameter der Hautfunktionen – wie Barrierefunktion, Hydratationsstatus, Farbe, pH-Wert, Fettgehalt, Schuppung, Elastizität, Sauerstoffversorgung und Durchblutung – können ebenfalls nichtinvasiv erfasst und quantifiziert werden. Neben dem Einsatz dieser Methoden in Studien zur Quantifizierung von Therapieeffekten haben einige Techniken Eingang in die Routinediagnostik gefunden, zum Beispiel bei der Hautkrebsfrüherkennung oder im Rahmen von Begutachtungen bei Berufserkrankungen.
