Zusammenfassung
Bei der dermatoskopischen (auflichtmikroskopischen) Untersuchung wird durch Anwendung einer Flüssigkeit und einer Glasplatte, teilweise auch durch Verwendung von polarisiertem Licht, zusammen mit einer 10-fachen, manchmal bis 40-fachen Vergrößerung eine bessere Auflösung der Strukturen und Farben erreicht. Obwohl ursprünglich für die Differenzialdiagnose pigmentierter Hautveränderungen entwickelt, hat sich in den letzten Jahren gezeigt, dass die Dermatoskopie auch sehr wertvoll bei der Beurteilung von hellen Tumoren, Parasiten (Entodermoskopie), Fremdkörpern, Einblutungen und immer häufiger auch bei Haarerkrankungen (Trichoskopie) und entzündlichen Hauterkrankungen (Inflammoskopie) ist. Durch die Dermatoskopie wird eine deutliche Verbesserung in der präoperativen Diagnostik pigmentierter Hautveränderungen möglich. Nach einer Metaanalyse von 22 Studien mit 9004 pigmentierten Hautveränderungen erreichten Experten im Vergleich zur klinischen Diagnostik mit der Dermatoskopie einen 35 %igen Anstieg der diagnostischen Treffsicherheit bei pigmentierten Tumoren.
