Zussamenfassung
Vaginale Blutungen und/oder Schmerzen während der Frühschwangerschaft sind eine dia-gnostische Herausforderung, um die Integrität und die Lokalisation der Schwangerschaft festzustellen. Die Kombination serieller ß-HCG-Bestimmungen mit vaginalsonographischen Untersuchungen ermöglicht die frühzeitige Unterscheidung zwischen einer Schwangerschaft, einem Abort und ektoper Gravidität. Mithilfe dieser diagnostischen Tools ist es möglich geworden, die Mortalität bei ektoper Gravidität signifikant zu verringern. Die tatsächlich verfügbaren diagnostischen Maßnahmen ermöglichen die Auswahl der individuell optimalen Behandlung, einschließlich der Optionen abwartend-exspektative Beobachtung, chirurgische Intervention und medikamentöse Therapie. Neben den ausgezeichneten diagnostischen und therapeutischen Möglichkeiten ist die psychische Belastung von Frauen mit frühem Schwangerschaftsverlust zu berücksichtigen.
