Zusammenfassung
Restrukturierung beinhaltet für Organisationen die Chance auf mehr Markt- und Wettbewerbsfähigkeit. Gleichzeitig bestehen bei schlecht geplanten und durchgeführten Veränderungsprozessen mit hohem Belastungszuwachs insbesondere im Hinblick auf psychische Belastungen auch Risiken für die Motivation, das Wohlbefinden und die Gesundheit der Mitarbeiter. Der vorliegende Beitrag stellt die Bedeutung des Phänomens Restrukturierung und potenzielle Auswirkungen auf die Mitarbeiter auf Basis einer für Deutschland repräsentativen Mitarbeiterbefragung dar. Es zeigt sich, dass Restrukturierungen signifikant mit der Erhöhung von Belastungen und Beeinträchtigungen der Gesundheit zusammenhängen. Aspekten der Unternehmenskultur in Veränderungen wird durch die Diskussion der spezifischen Restrukturierungsform »Mergers & Acquisitions« Rechnung getragen, für die die Beachtung kultureller Rahmenbedinungen eine besondere Bedeutung spielt. Gestaltungshinweise für Restrukturierung beziehen sich auf faire und beteiligungsorientierte Prozesse und vor allem auf eine transparente Kommunikation bezüglich der Ziele und der Umsetzungsprozesse von Restrukturierungen.
