Zusammenfassung
In diesem wichtigen Kapitel wird eine Reihe von experimentellen Methoden besprochen. die es erlauben, die theoretischen Vorstellungen über die Atom- und Molekülstruktur und Dynamik, die in den vorergehenden Kapiteln vorgestellt wurden, zu untermauern. Es beginnt mit den verschiedenen spektroskopischen Verfahren, welche durch die Entwicklung der Laserspektroskopie einen großen Aufschwung erfahren haben. Durch Streuexperimente konnten die Wechselwirkungspotentiale zwischen Atomen und Molekülen genau vermessen werden. Zum Schluss werden die zeitaufgelösten Messungen vorgestellt, die es gestatten, die Dynamik angeregter Zustände mit einer Zeitauflösung bis in den Attosekunden-Bereich zu verfolgen.
