Abstract
As Europe is expanding and developing, the importance of European Union (EU) labour law is increasing steadily. What was initially planned to primarily be an economic community, and for which questions concerning labour law appeared simply to be an annex to the entrepreneurial fundamental freedom, has developed into a comprehensive political union which cannot ignore the significance of labour law for its effective operation.
