Zusammenfassung
Aufgrund seines abstrakten und komplexen Charakters ist die Messung von Lebenssinn ein schwieriges Unterfangen. Das gleiche gilt allerdings für viele psychologische Merkmale. Denken Sie z. B. an mehr oder weniger bewusste Einstellungen, an Motivation oder Emotionsregulation. Das psychometrische Inventar der Psychologie umfasst eine Vielzahl von Methoden, die uns Zugang zu subjektiven Vorstellungs- und Lebenswelten geben. Sie reichen von explorativen, auf den Einzelfall bezogene Verfahren bis zur quantitativen Operationalisierung latenter Konstrukte. Beide – qualitative wie auch quantitative Verfahren – sind notwendig für die Erfassung von Lebenssinn.
